Jewish Pavilion programOpening of the Jewish Pavilion program in a wing of a nursing home in Westminster Care of Orlando in downtown Orlando, 2001.
“Where have all the seniors gone?” asked members of the board of Kinneret, the Jewish sponsored senior residence in downtown Orlando. They realized there was no follow up with the residents who left the warm embrace of Kinneret and moved into a nursing home. In 2001, the Jewish Pavilion was established as an agency of JFGO to bring the joy of friendly visitors, Jewish Sabbath and holiday celebrations, musical events, youth performances and educational programs in order to keep this isolated group engaged and active.
